Messina Hop-On Hop-Off

The Hop On Hop Off bus tour in Messina includes two different routes, which will allow you to discover this city, often called the "Gateway to Sicily".

The Blue Line departs from Piazza Duomo, the most important square in Messina, where you can admire the Cathedral and the bell tower, featuring the most complex mechanical and astronomical clock in the world. It continues along Via Garibaldi to reach the shore and the famous promenade, then returns to the city along the coast. The various stops along the way allow you to easily reach the Vittorio Emanuele Theater, the beautiful Villa Mazzini with its Municipal Aquarium, and the Regional Museum, which houses works by Caravaggio, Antonello da Messina, and Girolamo Alibrandi.

The Red Line gives you the opportunity to reach the Sacrario di Cristo Re, a sanctuary built on a small hill upon the ruins of Matagrifone Castle, from where you will have a unique panoramic view of the strait.
