How to Get from Turin Caselle Airport to the City Center?
Turin Airport is officially named Turin Caselle International Airport, after one of the towns on whose territory it is located. It is the main airport in the Piedmont region and is also known as Sandro Pertini International Airport (named after the President of Italy in the 1980s).
The distance from Caselle Airport to the center of Turin is approximately 19 km.
Transportation from Caselle Airport to the center of Turin can be done by shuttle bus, bus, train, taxi, or private transfer. It is also possible to rent a car at the airport.
1. Shuttle Bus
The company Flibco provides fast shuttle bus transfer services between the airport and the center of Turin.
The coaches depart from the airport's arrivals terminal (to the right of the exit) and stop near the train station Porta Nuova (Piazza Carlo Felice 18) and at the bus station in Turin, at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II no. 131 (platform 5), in front of the Palace of Justice.
The journey takes about 25 minutes, and ticket prices start at €3.99 one way.
2. Bus
The company Arriva provides transfer services between Caselle Airport and Turin.
The buses depart from the front of the Arrivals terminal (when you exit, go a little to the right following the signs) and stop in the towns of Caselle and Borgaro Torinese, then in Turin at Via Borgaro 103, on Corso Umbria at the corner with Via Livorno, and near the Porta Susa and Porta Nuova train stations.
On weekdays, Arriva buses run every 15 minutes, and on weekends and holidays every 30 minutes.
Some trips at certain times are Express, stopping directly in Turin near Porta Susa station and then at Piazza Carlo Felice, near Porta Nuova station.
The journey time from the airport to Turin is 45–50 minutes.
The price of a one-way ticket to the city center is €7.5, or €11 for a round trip.
Tickets can be purchased through the Arriva app, from ticket machines, from the Tourist Information Center at the airport (in the Arrivals area), or directly on the bus with card or cash (if you pay cash on the bus, the ticket price will be €8.5 one way). Round-trip tickets cannot be bought directly on the bus.
For holders of the Torino+Piemonte card, the ticket price is €6.5 one way.
Tickets bought from machines must be validated when boarding the bus.
3. Train
Caselle Airport is connected by a railway to Porta Susa station in Turin. The station is located in front of the Arrivals area of the terminal.
The train transfer time between the airport and Turin is about 30 minutes, and the price of a ticket is €3.7 per person.
4. Taxi
The official maximum price for a taxi transfer from Caselle Airport to Turin is €40 for the city center and €47 for the Lingotto area. The taxi stand is located at the exit of the Arrivals terminal.
5. Private Transfers
The most convenient, but also the most expensive option is to book a private transfer from Caselle Airport directly to your hotel in Turin.
6. Rent a Car
One last option, convenient if you plan to visit the surroundings of the city or head to the mountains, is to rent a car.
