Located in the Veneto region and served by an international airport, the city of Treviso is mostly used as a base for visiting more prominent destinations in the area, such as Venice, Padua, Verona, or the ski resorts in the Dolomites.

Nevertheless, Treviso is worth a visit for its beautiful medieval center, tree-lined canals running alongside old walls, elegant villas, and, in general, its peaceful and authentically Italian atmosphere. Additionally, Treviso is the birthplace of the famous Italian dessert tiramisù, and nearby, in the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the sparkling wine Prosecco is produced.
