How to Get from Treviso Airport to Venice or Mestre?
Treviso-Sant'Angelo Airport (TSF) is officially named "Antonio Canova Airport", after the famous sculptor born in the Veneto area.
Treviso Airport is one of the two airports near Venice. It is located 3 km from Treviso city center. The distance to Mestre is about 30 km, and the distance from Treviso Airport to Venice is about 40 km. It is used mainly by low-cost airlines and has a single terminal.
To transfer from the airport to Venice or Mestre you can use a shuttle bus, bus + train, taxi, a private transfer, or, if you plan to see more places, you can rent a car.
1. Shuttle Bus
There are three companies that operate the shuttle bus transport services from Treviso to Venice: ATVO (with Treviso Airport Bus Express), Terravision, and Flibco (the latter two in collaboration with Barzi Bus). The ATVO buses have their final stop at Piazzale Roma (closer to historical Venice), while the Barzi Bus coaches stop at Tronchetto (from where you can quickly reach Piazzale Roma with the automated People Mover train - the ticket costs €1.5 - see also the article about transport in Venice).
Bus tickets purchased online are valid for all trips on that day for the respective company.
Treviso Airport Bus Express
Treviso Airport is connected to Mestre and Venice (Piazzale Roma) via the Treviso Airport Bus Express service - line 351 operated by ATVO.
The cost of the tickets is €12/ one-way and €22/ round trip. Children under 4 travel for free.
The ticket (or the QR code on the voucher, if booked online) must be validated by the staff upon boarding the bus. If you buy a return ticket, you only need to select the departure day; the same QR code will be valid for the return day, which you do not need to declare in advance.
The departure stop is right in front of the terminal, slightly to the left, on the opposite side of the lane, under the awning. In the afternoon, the transfer service is provided by Brusutti or Martini-Cosmo coaches.
En route, the bus makes two intermediate stops in Mestre - one on Corso del Popolo and another at the Train Station (provided there are passengers who have booked one of these destinations).
The duration of the trip is 50-55 minutes for Treviso Airport-Mestre, and about 70 minutes for Treviso Airport-Venice (Piazzale Roma).
When returning from Venice to Treviso Airport, you will find the Airport Bus Express stop in Piazzale Roma at platform 2 (NOT A2, where the standard route buses are), near the tram tracks.
Drivers usually respect departure times, so be sure to check the schedule and arrive at the stop 10-15 minutes early to avoid waiting for the next bus. The purchased ticket guarantees a seat on one of the bus trips that day but does not reserve a specific seat at a specific time.

Terravision
The company Terravision, in collaboration with Barzi Bus, offers direct shuttle bus services connecting Treviso Airport with the Mestre train station (stopping in front of Hotel Plaza) and further on to Venice Tronchetto. From Tronchetto, you can continue your journey either via the People Mover automated train (Tronchetto - Marittima - Piazzale Roma, ticket price €1.5), by ACTV public transport water buses, or on foot (it takes about 20 minutes to reach Piazzale Roma).
Terravision buses depart from the front of the airport terminal. The transfer takes approximately 30 minutes for Treviso-Mestre and about 40 minutes for Treviso-Venice Tronchetto.
The price for the ticket is €10/ one-way and €18/ round trip, while children under 10 travel for free.
The return ticket is valid only if the difference between the departure date and the return date is a maximum of 10 days. If it is longer than 10 days, you will need to buy separate tickets - one for the outbound trip and one for the return.
Flibco
The company Flibco also operates in collaboration with Barzi Bus. The buses make a stop in Mestre and finally arrive in Venice, at Tronchetto.
The price of a ticket is 10 EUR/one way or 18 EUR/round trip. Children up to 10 years old travel for free.
