If you have the opportunity (and if the weather is favorable), try the experience of taking the cable car to Aiguille du Midi. The first cable car will take you to Plan de l'Aiguille at an altitude of 2,317 m; from there, you will take a second cable car which crosses the Les Pelerins glacier without any support pillars, ascending to 3,778 m. A footbridge leads you to the Central Piton terrace, where you will take an elevator that climbs through the rock to the upper terrace at a height of 3,842 m. The entire journey takes about 20 minutes, offering incredible views of the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps.
Tickets for Aiguille du Midi have dynamic pricing and can be booked on the Mont Blanc Resort website. In the event of strong winds, the cable car does not operate; if you have booked online, you can choose between changing the date or receiving a refund.
During the summer, the Panoramic Mont Blanc line is also operational. Crossing over the Mer de Glace glacier, it connects Aiguille du Midi with the Punta Helbronner station of the Skyway cable car, located in Italy at an altitude of 3,466 m.
