19 Things to Do in Milan with Kids

19 Things to Do in Milan with Kids

Milan is not only the capital of fashion and football. In recent years, it has also become a child-friendly city. If you decide to go on a city break with them, you should know that there are many activities, sights, and attractions suitable for children in the city and its surroundings.

First, you should know that public transport in Milan is free for children under 14 years old.

1. Climb to the Roof of the Milan Cathedral

Without a doubt, the Duomo is the most important tourist attraction in Milan. Climbing to its roof is the first activity we advise you to do with kids (if they are very young, it might be a good idea to get elevator tickets). Help them discover the different spires, decorated with mysterious statues, and show them the city from above!

The children will surely enjoy walking on the roof of the Milan Cathedral.

2. Show Them the Bull in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

The little ones might not be impressed by the elegance of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II or the luxury shops inside, but they will surely have fun trying to spin three times on one heel on the "sensitive" parts of the bull represented in the mosaic.

3. Take Them to the Playground in Sempione Park

Sempione Park is the largest park in the central area of Milan. Inside, towards the Arco della Pace, in the shade of the trees, there is a playground for children with swings, slides, electric cars, and a historic train that has been taking children for rides since 1968.
